Keepsake

Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-10-15. Keepsake is an iPhone app that helps you clean up your photo library. This policy explains what data Keepsake uses and where it goes.

In short

Photos and videos

Keepsake asks for full access to your Photos library. It reads your photos and videos on the device to find duplicates, screenshots, receipts, failed shots and large videos, and to suggest which to keep. It deletes items only after you confirm in the iOS system dialog. Deleted items go to Recently Deleted, as with the Photos app.

Data stored on your iPhone

Keepsake keeps a small local database: scan progress, your decisions (for example which photo you kept), what it learned from your choices, weekly batches and deadlines, and the state of video moves. This data stays on your iPhone. If you use iCloud Backup, iOS includes it in your iPhone backup, which Apple stores under your Apple Account. Notifications are created on the device; Keepsake does not use a push server. Deleting the app deletes this data.

Google Drive (optional)

You can move large videos to your own Google Drive. This is off until you connect your Google account.

Keepsake's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data from Google is used only to move and verify the videos you pick. It is not used for ads, not sold, and not read by people.

Other places you can send videos

You can also copy videos to an external drive, save them to Files, or share them to your own YouTube app. You start each of these through iOS. The receiving app or service handles the data under its own policy.

Crash and usage data

Keepsake does not send any usage data, counts or statistics of its own. If you turn on Apple's "Share with App Developers" option, Apple may share crash reports and usage data with us, as Apple describes. You can turn it off at any time in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

Children

Keepsake is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Google Drive(可選)
